Fatal traffic accident in Lok Ma Chau

At 4.06am, a private car driven by a 32-year-old man was traveling along Tam Kon Chau Road towards Yuen Long. When approaching Mai Po, it reportedly knocked down a 94-year-old male pedestrian.
Sustaining serious multiple body injuries, the man was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 7.37am.
The private car driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team one of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
