Hospital Authority releases Medication Safety Bulletin

The Hospital Authority (HA) today (November 28) published the biannual issue of the Medication Safety Bulletin (MSB). This issue highlights measures to enhance awareness among frontline staff and patients regarding the side effects of fluoroquinolone antibiotics and reminds colleagues of the safety guidelines for insulin prescriptions.
The latest issue also features experience sharing from the Kowloon East Cluster, reminding healthcare workers about safety measures for adrenaline administration to patients with anaphylaxis.
The publication has already been posted on the HA homepage for sharing with healthcare staff. Members of the public are also welcome to browse its content at the following link: www.ha.org.hk/msb. The MSB is published every six months, during the last week of May and November. The next issue will be published in May 2026.
