The Hong Kong Space Museum will launch a new sky show, "Building a Dream Palace", at its Space Theatre from tomorrow (November 15) until May 14, 2026. The show will take audiences across millennia, from ancient myths such as Pan Gu creating the world and Chang'e ascending to the Moon, to the present Tiangong Space Station built independently by China as part of the Chinese nation's journey toward fulfilling its dream of exploring the vast cosmos.

     In this 21-minute show, audiences will see how China constructed the cutting-edge Tiangong Space Station from scratch, showcasing features such as the uniquely designed flexible solar wings, which can automatically follow the Sun to adjust their position and angles, and its advanced electric propulsion system and chemical thrusters. In addition, the show will guide audiences to the luxury residence of Tiangong, where the dining area is well equipped with facilities such as a microwave oven, hot-air heater and refrigerator. These amenities allow astronauts to enjoy hot and nutritious meals even while in space.

     Screening times are 3.30pm and 8pm on weekdays, and 2pm and 6.30pm on weekends and public holidays respectively. Tickets priced at $30 (front stalls) and $40 (stalls) are now available at the Hong Kong Space Museum Box Office and URBTIX (www.urbtix.hk).
