SLW leads delegation to Beijing for entrepreneurs summit to foster talent exchanges (with photos)
******************************************************************************************
The Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Chris Sun, concluded his two-day visit to Beijing today (October 17).

Mr Sun arrived in Beijing yesterday (October 16) afternoon and officiated at the opening ceremony of the HICOOL 2025 Global Entrepreneurs Summit (the Summit), an international event for talent and entrepreneurship, and presented prizes for the Global Entrepreneurship Competition. He joined representatives from the Chinese Mainland government to tour the Summit and visit the booth set up by Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE).

During the visit, Mr Sun met with government officials of Beijing and guests of the Summit as well as representatives of participating corporations from Hong Kong to exchange views on talent policies and introduce Hong Kong's work in attracting talent. He welcomed the arrival of Beijing's quality talent and their family members to settle in Hong Kong. The Director of HKTE, Mr Felix Chan, also joined the visit.

Mr Sun delivered a speech at the Summit's 2025 high-calibre talent hub development forum this morning and exchanged views with participants. He said that Hong Kong's ranking in last month's World Talent Ranking 2025, which leapt to fourth place globally and topped Asia, reflected the city's increasing appeal to talent. The Government will continue to promote complementarity and synergy between Hong Kong and other Mainland cities, striving to establish Hong Kong as an international hub for high-calibre talent and contributing to the impetus of national development.

Mr Sun returned to Hong Kong this afternoon.
