Hong Kong Space Museum to launch new 3D dome show "The Great Solar System Adventure! 3D" (with photos)
***************************************************************

The Hong Kong Space Museum will launch a new 3D dome show, "The Great Solar System Adventure! 3D", at its Space Theatre from tomorrow (October 15). The show will lead audiences to explore the characteristics and composition of each planet, as well as experiencing the power of the Sun.

The show adopts a lively and fun way of taking audiences on a soul-stirring voyage through the cosmos. The humorous tour leader, the Great Schiaparelli, will steer his intricate and magical orrery. With his witty and vivid commentary, he reveals the mysteries of each planet and the Sun's astonishing power. During the voyage, audiences will dodge Mercury's extreme day-night temperature swings, escape Venus' deadly high-pressure atmosphere, and make a thrilling landing on Mars' rugged surface. Audiences will then experience Jupiter's lightning storms, travel through Saturn's magnificent rings, visit the sideways-spinning Uranus, and confront the raging winds of Neptune.

The 25-minute show will be screened until October 14, 2026. Screening times are 2pm and 6.30pm on weekdays and 12.30pm and 5pm on weekends and public holidays respectively. Tickets priced at $30 (front stalls) and $40 (stalls) are now available at the Hong Kong Space Museum Box Office and URBTIX (www.urbtix.hk).
