Hospital Authority announces senior appointment (with photo)

The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesperson announced the following senior appointment today (October 13):
Dr Deacons Yeung will be appointed as Cluster Chief Executive (CCE) of New Territories West and Hospital Chief Executive (HCE) of Tuen Mun Hospital with effect from February 1, 2026.
Dr Yeung is a specialist in radiology by background. He is currently the CCE of Kowloon East and HCE of United Christian Hospital (UCH), and served as the HCE of Pok Oi Hospital from 2014 to 2019, the HCE of Tin Shui Wai Hospital (TSWH) from 2016 to 2019, and the Director of Cluster Services from 2019 to 2022. With his extensive management experience in senior executive roles at hospital, cluster and corporate levels, Dr Yeung has led various key projects and initiatives to success. He has directed the development of Public-Private Partnership programmes, the introduction of new advanced treatments (such as CAR-T cell therapy), the commissioning of TSWH, and the expansion projects of UCH. During the COVID-19 epidemic, Dr Yeung led the setup of the Central Government-Aided Emergency Hospital and community treatment facilities, as well as the implementation of telehealth and medication delivery services.
The HA Chairman, Mr Henry Fan, and the Chief Executive, Dr Libby Lee, congratulate Dr Yeung on his new appointment and wish him every success in taking up the new role.
