FEHD waives licence fees for hawkers and food businesses and fees for restricted food permits for one year
***************************************************************

A spokesman for the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) said today (October 10) that the Government will waive for one year the fees for the first issue or renewal of hawker licences, food business licences and restricted food permits, which come into effect during November 1, 2025 to October 31, 2026 (both dates inclusive).

The spokesman said, "Announced in The Chief Executive's 2025 Policy Address, the measure aims to support small and medium enterprises and alleviate pressure on business operations."

Starting today, applicants, licensees or permittees may approach the relevant licence issuing offices of the FEHD or visit its "Online Licence Services" website to proceed with new issue or renewal of licences and permits that come into effect during the above mentioned concession period, without the need to pay the relevant licence or permit fees. For applicants, licensees or permittees who have prepaid fees for the licences or permits that are to come into effect in the above mentioned concession period, FEHD will notify them in writing and arrange for refunds accordingly.
