​The 2025 Election Committee (EC) Subsector By-elections were concluded smoothly on September 7. The final register of the EC was released by the Registration and Electoral Office (REO) today (September 17) in accordance with the law.

     The By-elections have filled a total of 93 vacancies in the membership of the EC returned by election involving 28 subsectors. Another 10 vacancies involving five subsectors returned by nomination have also been filled through supplementary nominations by designated bodies. The names and registration particulars of the EC members who were returned in the By-elections and filled through supplementary nominations mentioned above are included in the final register of the EC released today.

     "The 2025 Legslative Council (LegCo) General Election will be held on December 7 and the nomination period will commence on October 24. Members of the EC can subscribe the nomination form of the candidates running for the LegCo General Election in accordance with the legislation and elect 40 LegCo Members in the EC constituency on December 7," a spokesman for the REO said.

     Members of the EC may peruse their own registration particulars on the final register through "iAM Smart" or the Voter Registration website (vr.gov.hk).
