The Hong Kong Observatory issued No. 8 Southeast Gale or Storm Signal at 9.20pm last night (September 7).

     As at 8.20am today (September 8), the Home Affairs Department has opened 29 temporary shelters in various districts and 213 people have sought refuge at the shelters.

     As at 8am today, the Government's 1823 Call Centre and the Fire Services Department received four reports and 15 reports of fallen trees respectively. No report of landslide or flooding has been received so far.

     According to the Hospital Authority, as at 8am today, two males have sought medical treatment at the Accident and Emergency Department at a public hospital during the typhoon period.
