The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) performed at Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on August 30 and 31, marking its debut at the renowned venue and the opening of its 2025/26 European tour. The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels (HKETO, Brussels) supports the tour as part of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's commitment to promoting Hong Kong's cultural development and international engagement.

Speaking at a reception held in Amsterdam on August 30, the Special Representative for Hong Kong Economic and Trade Affairs to the European Union, Ms Shirley Yung said, "Tonight's performance is more than just a concert – it is a celebration of cultural excellence, international collaboration, and the unique spirit of Hong Kong where East meets West. At the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels, we are proud to support this tour as part of our ongoing commitment to showcasing Hong Kong's artistic brilliance on the global stage."

She also mentioned that the Hong Kong Philharmonic is just one shining example of the city's vibrant and dynamic cultural scene, and encouraged the audience to experience Hong Kong, a place where Eastern heritage and Western innovation blend seamlessly, in its arts and culture, fashion, cuisine, and lifestyle.

Under the direction of Jaap van Zweden, the HK Phil is presenting a series of four concerts across the Netherlands, Italy and Austria ahead of its 2025-26 season.
