New horizons in smart construction
**********************************
Cutting-edge drones deployed at a construction site in Nui Po Shan by the Development Bureau offer a pioneering example of Hong Kong's adoption of unmanned aerial vehicle technology through the Low-altitude Economy Regulatory Sandbox.

The three key technological breakthroughs of the drones, namely a high payload capacity, use of beyond-visual-line-of-sight with automatic operation flight technology and cutting-edge docking stations that allow for efficient battery management, enable remote monitoring of progress and safety.

The Deputy Financial Secretary, Mr Michael Wong, commented on the sector's development as he inspected the Nui Po Shan project. Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary for Development, Mr Tony Ho, spoke to News.gov.hk about the drones' applications and advanced features.

The story is available at www.news.gov.hk/eng/feature from today (August 10) in text and video format.
