The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) has been making use of social media for promoting environmental hygiene, food and public health messages. Apart from the existing "Keep Clean Ambassador Ah Tak" and "Centre for Food Safety" pages, the department today (August 8) launched departmental Facebook and Instagram pages, with a view to enhancing public understanding of the department's services and disseminating important information quickly and directly.

     "Keep Clean Ambassador Ah Tak" and "Centre for Food Safety" pages will continue to publicise information on keeping Hong Kong clean and promoting food safety through lively and interesting characters. The FEHD Facebook and Instagram pages will not only provide the public with important messages, but also share information about the Department's different service areas and various activities of the Department, further enhancing the FEHD's communication and engagement with the public.

     The FEHD invites the public to visit, follow and share the information on the pages through the following links (www.facebook.com/FoodandEnvironmentalHygieneDepartment and www.instagram.com/fehd.hk) or the QR codes (see Annexes 1 and 2).
