
Appointments to Transport Advisory Committee announced

The Government announced today (August 8) that the Chief Executive has reappointed five incumbent members of the Transport Advisory Committee (TAC), as well as appointing three new members to the TAC. The reappointments and appointments will be effective from October 1 this year.
The serving members to be reappointed are Mr Ricky Yu Wai-yip, Dr Cheng Shing-fung, Ms Chan Siu-lai, Ms Janice Lai Wai-man and Professor Szeto Wai-yuen. The three new members are Mr Arthur Chan Sung-lai, Dr Theresa Kwong Fuk-ning and Mr Suen Warren Lampson. Mr Yu and Dr Cheng are reappointed for a term of one year, while the remaining serving members and new members are appointed for a term of two years.
The Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Ms Mable Chan, said, "The TAC has tendered valuable advice on many significant transport issues over the past years. The Government looks forward to continuing to work closely with the TAC members in the future.
"We also thank the outgoing members, Ms Ivy Cheung Wing-han, Dr Angela Ng Lai-ping and Mr Gary Soo Kwok-leung, for their contributions to the TAC over the past six years."
The TAC is a key advisory body to the Government on broad issues of transport policy and major transport-related proposals. Currently, the TAC comprises 16 non-official members including the Chairman and three ex-officio members.
