District governance: Revamping estates for comfy homes

To enhance the sense of well-being of the residents, the Housing Bureau announced the launch of the "Well-being design" guide which serves as a reference for the improvement works of existing estates, in addition to organising a design competition to invite public participation and collect residents' views.
News.gov.hk spoke to a representative from the Housing Department to learn how the guide enables the optimisation of well-being concepts when upgrading public housing estates. The design competition's winning team also talked about their interaction with the residents when coming up with their design plan.
