Appointments to Board of Directors of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation

     The Government today (June 20) announced that the Financial Secretary has appointed one new member to the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC), and reappointed five incumbent members.

     Mr Duncan Chiu is appointed as a new member of the Board of Directors of the HKSTPC for a period of two years from July 1, 2025.

     Ms Jennifer Chan Pui-kwan, Mr Eugene Chan Yu-ching, Mr Hon Chi-keung, Ms Elizabeth Quat and Dr Philip Zhai Pu are reappointed as members of the Board of Directors of the HKSTPC for a period of two years with effect from the same date.

     The Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Professor Sun Dong, said, "Over the past two years, the Board of Directors has led the HKSTPC to fulfil its public mission of providing infrastructure, supporting start-ups and nurturing innovation and technology (I&T) talent. With the members' wealth of experience and expertise in a wide range of disciplines, the Board of Directors will no doubt continue to steer the HKSTPC in further promoting the development of the I&T ecosystem and developing Hong Kong into an international I&T centre."

     The tenure of an incumbent member of the Board of Directors, Ms Angel Ng Yin-yee, will expire on June 30 this year.

     "In the past six years, Ms Ng has actively participated in the work of the Board of Directors and made valuable contributions to the local I&T development. I sincerely thank her for her valuable advice on the HKSTPC and strong support for the I&T development in Hong Kong," Professor Sun said.

     Established in 2001, the HKSTPC is a statutory body wholly owned by the Government. It provides quality infrastructure facilities and support services for the I&T development in Hong Kong. The HKSTPC is responsible for managing and operating the Hong Kong Science Park, three InnoParks and the InnoCentre.
