Drone tech boosts efficiency

The Government recently launched the first batch of low-altitude economy Regulatory Sandbox pilot projects and under this framework, CLP Power's drone team began a beyond-visual-line-of-sight pilot scheme to inspect overhead lines at a test site in Sai Kung.

News.gov.hk spoke to the company's representative to learn more about the details of its pilot scheme, while a Civil Aviation Department Operations Officer shared how the Government's legislative amendments can facilitate the development of a low-altitude economy in Hong Kong.
