The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (May 30) that lifesaving services will be provided at the gazetted beaches from June 1 as set out in the Annex.

     During the swimming season (from April to October), lifesaving services will be provided daily at the gazetted beaches as set out in the Annex from 9am to 6pm. Service provision will be extended to 8am to 7pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays during the peak period from June to August.

     Swimmers should pay attention to safety when enjoying the fun of swimming and should only go to beaches where lifesaving services are provided. Please do not enter the water when the red flag is hoisted.
