     The spokesperson for United Christian Hospital (UCH) made the following announcement today (May 12):

     At around 6.20am today, the hospital was notified by the Water Supplies Department regarding a water main burst at Hip Wo Street. The section of Hip Wo Street between Sau Nga Road and Hiu Kwong Street has been completely closed for emergency repair. All vehicles are temporarily unable to access the hospital via this road.

     Affected by traffic congestion, the hospital is striving to maintain normal services of the Accident and Emergency Department and Specialist Out-patient Clinics at UCH and reminds the public that, due to the severe traffic congestion, patients may consider alternative hospitals for accident and emergency services. Patients attending Specialist Out-patient Clinics are advised to stay updated on the latest traffic information and allow extra travel time, and those who need to reschedule appointments may contact the hotline at 3949 5555.
