Kai Tak Sports Park concertgoers should use public transport and stay alert to unstable weather
******************************************************************************************
Attention duty announcers, radio and TV stations:

Please broadcast the following special announcement immediately, and repeat it at frequent intervals:

     The Transport Department today (April 12) said that, due to unstable weather conditions, concert spectators travelling to and from Kai Tak Stadium of the Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP) should take the MTR, and the special bus services which will be operated during dispersal. They should heighten vigilance and observe safety during outdoors. As the admission and dispersal times may vary subject to the actual situation, spectators (especially cross-boundary travellers) should plan their journeys early and purchase tickets in advance if needed. They should stay tuned to the real-time information via the on-site broadcast and the "Easy Leave" platform (easyleave.police.gov.hk).

     A spokesman for the TD said, "As it is the weekend and in view of the unstable weather, traffic in the vicinity of the KTSP is expected to be even busier. The TD has steered local and cross-boundary public transport operators to strengthen their services by arranging adequate trips and manpower to meet the passenger demand, so that spectators can arrive at the venue conveniently and leave in an orderly manner."

     MTR:
  • The interval between trains of the Tuen Ma Line will be further enhanced to about 2.5 minutes and the service level of the northbound East Rail Line (ERL) will also be enhanced accordingly;
