Principal Officials of HKSAR Government pay year-end caring visits in 18 districts (with photos)

     ​The year-end caring visits in 18 districts co-ordinated by the Home Affairs Department continued today (January 28). Principal Officials (POs) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government continued to tour various districts today, including Kwun Tong, Eastern, Sham Shui Po and Wong Tai Sin Districts, to visit different families and bring warmth and blessings from the HKSAR Government by distributing blessing bags in celebration of the Chinese New Year.
 
      The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Erick Tsang Kwok-wai, accompanied by the Acting District Officer (Kwun Tong), Ms Regina Chan, together with Kwun Tong District Council members and representatives from the District Services and Community Care Team (Care Team) (Kwun Tong), visited elderly singletons living in Lam Tin Estate to chat with them and celebrate the festive joy of the Chinese New Year together. The Secretary for Security, Mr Tang Ping-keung, accompanied by the District Officer (Eastern), Mr Simon Chan, together with an Eastern District Council member and representatives from the Care Team (Eastern), visited an elderly household living in Hong Tung Estate. 
 
     In addition, the Secretary for Education, Dr Choi Yuk-lin, accompanied by the District Officer (Sham Shui Po), Mr Paul Wong, together with Sham Shui Po District Council members and representatives from the Care Team (Sham Shui Po), visited an ethnic minority grassroots family living in Cheung Sha Wan, and chatted with them to find out their needs and how they are doing in Hong Kong. The Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Professor Sun Dong, accompanied by the District Officer (Wong Tai Sin), Mr Thomas Wu, together with Wong Tai Sin District Council members and representatives from the Care Team (Wong Tai Sin), visited an elderly household and a grassroots family living in Fu Shan Estate.
 
     POs of the Government paid visits to various elderly and grassroots families in 18 districts for four consecutive days (January 25 to 28) to learn about their living conditions, send blessings, share the festive joy and celebrate the Chinese New Year together.
