COVID-19 vaccination services during Lunar New Year
***************************************************
The Government today (January 22) reminded members of the public that during the Lunar New Year holidays (January 29 to 31), all public COVID-19 vaccination venues and most of the Private Clinic COVID-19 Vaccination Stations (PCVSs) under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme will be closed, while vaccination services will still be available at a few PCVSs.

Members of the public can browse the available dates and time slots for different vaccination sites via the Government online booking system, or learn more about the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme on the website of the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health.

A Government spokesman reminded those who have not received the initial dose of COVID-19 vaccine, especially young children over 6 months and elderly people, to receive an initial dose as soon as possible. Those high-risk groups should, in a timely manner, receive an additional booster dose six months after the last dose or COVID-19 infection (whichever is later), regardless of the number of doses received previously. In addition, patients contracting both influenza and COVID-19 are more likely to develop serious complications and die. Eligible persons can receive COVID-19 vaccination and seasonal influenza vaccination together at vaccination venues.
