Remarks by CS at media session after first test event of Kai Tak Sports Park (with photos/video)
******************************************************************************************
Following are the remarks by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Chan Kwok-ki, at the media session after the first test event of the Kai Tak Sports Park today (October 27):

Reporter: I would like to know that, do you think that just testing one-fifth of the seating capacity here is adequate in reflecting the actual load of the stadium? And you said that for the main stadium, the first test run will be in January next year, do you think it's too late, given that in March there will be mega events holding, and do you think that there should be more sort of test runs before that? Thank you.

Chief Secretary for Administration: This is the first time we do the test event. So we start from the small scale, but gradually, as I said, we will arrange around 20 trial events. By that time, we will have increased the number of people to up to 50 000. We are confident that with all these arrangements and all these preparations, before we formally and officially open the stadium, we will have sufficiently tested everything before it is officially opened. And I have full confidence in that.
