Government Flying Service fully supports passage of Safeguarding National Security Bill

The Bill gives full effect to the constitutional obligation stipulated in Article 23 of the Basic Law, the Decision of the National People's Congress (NPC) on Establishing and Improving the Legal System and Enforcement Mechanisms for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to Safeguard National Security adopted by the NPC on May 28, 2020 (the 5.28 Decision), as well as the Hong Kong National Security Law, which is an important milestone in the HKSAR's thorough and precise implementation of "one country, two systems".
The GFS said that while fulfilling its core duty and mission of providing lifesaving and emergency responses, it is fully committed to upholding national security. The GFS spares no effort to work with the Security Bureau under its professional ambit in safeguarding national security and maintaining Hong Kong's long-term prosperity and stability.
