Attempted murder and suicide in Kowloon City

     Police are investigating an attempted murder and suicide case in Kowloon City yesterday (March 4) in which a 58-year-old man died.

     At 9.28pm, Police received a report from a security guard that a man and a boy were found lying outside 144 Carpenter Road. They were suspected to have fallen from height.

     Police officers sped to the scene. The 58-year-old man was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 10.17pm. His seven-year-old son was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state. Initial investigation revealed that they were suspected to have fallen from a carpark at the above location. No will note was found at scene.

     Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.

     Active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Kowloon City District is underway. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 3661 7860.
