SCED to visit Beijing

     The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Algernon Yau, will depart for a visit to Beijing tomorrow evening (January 9).

     During his stay in Beijing, Mr Yau will call on the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the National Radio and Television Administration.

     Mr Yau will return to Hong Kong in the evening on January 12. The Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Dr Bernard Chan, will be the Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development during Mr Yau's absence.
