Appointments to Liquor Licensing Board

     The Government announced today (December 22) the appointments to the new term of the Liquor Licensing Board. The two-year term will be from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025.
 
     Mrs Tennessy Lee Hui Mei-sheung and Mr Chris Ip Ngo-tung have been appointed as the Chairperson and the Vice-Chairperson respectively. In addition, four other serving members, namely Mr Ho Chin-choi, Miss Winona Lo Oi-ling, Miss Lo Yuen-ting and Mr Tou Yat-lung, have been reappointed; Miss Renee Ho Hang-yin, Mr Leung Chun, Miss Sharon Tam Suet-yan, Mr Wong Kin-san and Mr Wong Tsz-sang have been appointed as new members of the Liquor Licensing Board.  
 
     The Secretary for Environment and Ecology, Mr Tse Chin-wan, said, "The Government is thankful for the significant contribution and solid support from the outgoing Chairperson Dr James Wong Kong-tin, Vice-Chairperson Ms Winnie Fan Chui-wah, as well as members Mr Edmond Chung Kong-mo, Ms Jessica Li Tsau-ha, Mr Leung Po-sang and Mr Lo Kin-tak, and look forward to the members of the new term to continue providing valuable advice to the Board with their extensive knowledge and experience."

     The Liquor Licensing Board is a statutory body established under section 2A(2) of the Dutiable Commodities (Liquor) Regulations (Cap. 109B). The main responsibility of the Board is to decide whether to grant applications to issue, renew, transfer or amend liquor licences.
