Mr Yeung said, "Ng On-yee went all out and won again with her superb skills. It is very encouraging and her success has proved the strength of Hong Kong billiard athletes. Ng started learning to play billiard when she was young, and then she has risen to become a full-time billiard athlete. Her remarkable achievements reflect the importance of beginning training for elite athletes at a young age."
"I hope the legislative amendments proposed by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, which include relaxation in terms of restricted hours and the minimum age of young people's entry into licensed billiard establishments, would help nurturing more billiard athletes," Mr Yeung added.
