SCST congratulates men's bridge team of Hong Kong, China on winning gold at Asian Games

     The Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr Kevin Yeung, today (October 6) congratulated the men's bridge team of Hong Kong, China on winning a gold medal in the men's bridge team event at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou (Asian Games). This is the eighth gold medal won by the Hong Kong, China Delegation at this Asian Games, tying the record of eight golds at the last Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia.
 
     Mr Yeung said, "Chiu Wai-lap, Ho Hoi-tung, Ho Wai-lam, Lai Wai-kit, Mak Kwok-fai and Sze Shun-sum outperformed other competitors and captured a gold medal. They delivered the goods and started a new chapter for the Hong Kong, China Delegation. The eighth gold medal did not come easy. We are overjoyed and applaud for Hong Kong, China team's victory.”
 
     The Hong Kong, China Delegation has so far won 53 medals, namely eight golds, 16 silvers and 29 bronzes, at this Asian Games. The medal won today is as follows:
