SED to visit Xi'an

     The Secretary for Education, Dr Choi Yuk-lin, will depart tomorrow (October 7) for Xi'an and lead a university delegation to attend the University Alliance of the Silk Road Presidents' Forum and a conference to promote co-operation between higher education institutions of Hong Kong and Central Asia on October 8.

     During her visit, Dr Choi will call on representatives of the Shaanxi Provincial Government. She will also visit iHARBOUR and Xi'an Jiaotong University, attend a seminar on admission of Mainland students to Hong Kong's higher education institutions and meet local Hong Kong students.

   Dr Choi will return to Hong Kong on Wednesday morning (October 11). During her absence, the Under Secretary for Education, Mr Sze Chun-fai, will be the Acting Secretary for Education.
