Wounding case in Central

     Police are investigating a wounding case in Central this morning (October 4) in which two men, aged 57 and 60, sustained injuries.

     At about 10.20am, Police received a report that a male security guard was attacked by a man with a knife on a footbridge outside Central Government Offices. Police officers sped to the scene and found the 57-year-old male security guard sustained hand injury. Another 60-year-old male security staff sustained leg injury while stopping the suspect. They were sent to Queen Mary Hospital consciously for medical treatment.     

     A 17-year-old man was arrested for wounding at scene. He is being detained for enquiries.

     Active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Central District is underway, including the motive of the attack.
