Hospital staff and patients welcome Mid-Autumn Festival (with photos)
*********************************************************************
The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

While moonlight shines upon the earth during the Mid-Autumn Festival, celebration activities are arranged by various clusters of the Hospital Authority to let hospital staff and patients gather by celebrating the festival together.

Mooncake is a traditional delight, yet its sweetness may not be fit for all. The Diabetes and Endocrine Team and Patient Resources Centre of Tuen Mun Hospital formed a patient group, "Sweet Buddies" for diabetes patients to provide a series of patient empowerment programmes. Near the Mid-Autumn Festival season, hospital staff and patient group participants made diabetes-friendly mooncakes, so the patients can have a taste of delicious desserts, while at the same time take care of their health.

Meanwhile, a group of hospital staff in the Hong Kong East Cluster distributed "soft mooncakes" to patients with dysphagia, so that they could enjoy the traditional delicacy with ease. They had a pleasant time eating the mooncakes while healthcare professionals shared love and warmth through the desserts.

The Hospital Authority wishes all patients a happy Mid-Autumn Festival and good health.
