Suspension of services for LCSD's self-service library station at Island East Sports Centre Sitting-out Area

The self-service library station located at the Island East Sports Centre Sitting-out Area will suspend services from 7.30pm on September 18 (Monday) to 7am on the following day to facilitate the periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations at the venue, a spokesman for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (September 12).

In addition, starting from October 3 (Tuesday), the services provided by the library station will be suspended for improvement works expected to be completed in late March of 2024. During this period, book drop boxes will be placed at the library station for readers to return library materials, and the loan records will be updated within two working days.

During the service suspension periods, readers are welcome to use other public libraries and renew library materials by telephoning 2698 0002 or 2827 2833, or via www.hkpl.gov.hk.
