Service arrangement of Kowloon Central Cluster Family Medicine Centre and Yau Ma Tei Jockey Club General Out-patient Clinic
******************************************************************************************
The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

The spokesman for the Kowloon Central Cluster (KCC) made the following announcement today (September 10):

Due to lift damage caused by adverse weather conditions, the services of the KCC Family Medicine Centre located at 8/F, 145 Battery Street, Yau Ma Tei, and the Yau Ma Tei Jockey Club General Out-patient Clinic on the 1/F of the same building will be affected. Patients may need to be diverted to other clinics for medical treatment.

Certain patients who have scheduled follow-up appointments at the Centre and Clinic within the upcoming week (September 11 to September 17) upon receiving notification will be arranged to attend other clinics within the Cluster. Besides, patients who have already scheduled appointments for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, and dietetics services at the Centre will be rearranged new appointment dates.

Patients with episodic illness can make appointments of general out-patient clinic service via the telephone appointment system or mobile application. Patients are advised to follow clinic instructions to access the clinic with staircase or passenger lift in service patiently with an anticipated longer lift waiting time than usual.

KCC staff will contact the patients affected to reschedule their follow-up appointment dates, consultation venues and provide detailed explanations regarding the arrangements. The KCC has deployed staff at the Centre and Clinic to assist patients in need, and has enhanced manpower and service quota at other clinics to ascertain other patient services not affected.

The building where the Centre and Clinic located is under the management of the Department of Health (DH). The DH has arranged contractors to repair the lifts so as to resume lift services as soon as possible. The KCC will continue to maintain close communication with the DH to minimise the impact on patients and services.
