LCSD to set up Asian Games Live Zone in support of Hong Kong athletes
*********************************************************************
To show support for the Hong Kong athletes taking part in the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will set up the Asian Games Live Zone at designated sports centres in 18 districts to broadcast the Games' competitions from September 23 to October 8 to allow members of the public to enjoy the ambience of this spectacular sports event and cheer for the athletes.

The Asian Games Live Zone located at 36 designated sports centres will be open from 8pm on September 23, and from 8am to 10.30pm between September 24 and October 8. Members of the public are welcome to watch the competitions at the zones and support the Hong Kong athletes together. Locations of the Asian Games Live Zone are set out in the Annex.

To further encourage the public to take part in sports while having fun in watching the competitions, the LCSD has set up a dedicated website to facilitate members of the public's access to information of the Live Zone. A series of Asian Games sports videos, which feature introduction and demonstration of sports skills by elite athletes, have been uploaded to the website.

Moreover, the LCSD will hold a launching ceremony of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou Live Zone at the Secondary Hall of the Kowloon Park Sports Centre on the opening day of the Asian Games at 6pm on September 23. Local cycling and rowing athletes will share their experiences and perform sports demonstrations at the scene.
