SCED to visit Germany

     The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Algernon Yau, will depart for Munich, Germany, tomorrow (September 4) to attend the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) - Europe Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference jointly organised by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, Invest Hong Kong of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute to promote huge business opportunities brought about by the GBA development.

     During his stay in Munich, Mr Yau will also meet with senior government officials of Germany and business leaders to give them an update on Hong Kong's latest development and business advantages.

     Mr Yau will return to Hong Kong on September 8. During his absence, the Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Dr Bernard Chan, will be the Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development.
