Civil Aid Service Cadet Corps Foot Drill Competition 2023 (with photos)
***********************************************************************
The Civil Aid Service (CAS) held the Cadet Corps Foot Drill Competition 2023 at its headquarters today (August 27). The competition was officiated by the Acting Director of Immigration, Mr Benson Kwok.

This year, 10 teams of a total of about 210 cadets participated in the competition. Speaking at the competition, Mr Kwok praised all of the participating teams for their high spirit and synchronised movements, a result of months of hard work. He also thanked CAS members and cadets for devoting their time to serving the community.

As the CAS has fully adopted the Chinese-style foot drill since November 2022, the CAS Cadet Corps also started requiring cadets to perform Chinese-style foot drills in the competition this year. In summer 2023, the CAS Cadet Corps organised various Mainland exchange programmes, such as the Si Yuan Exchange Programme, the Beijing and Nanjing Space Exploration Study Tour, the 10 000 Miles Friendship Trek, etc, to let youths see for themselves the latest development of major cities of the country and learn to appreciate Chinese culture, thereby fostering their sense of national identity, national pride, and national security.

The CAS Cadet Corps will continue providing youths with diversified activities and training to nurture future leaders.

Recruitment of CAS cadets is open for applications throughout the year. Recruitment details and application forms are available on the CAS website (www.cas.gov.hk).
