AMS streamlines process of volunteer member recruitment

     The Auxiliary Medical Service (AMS) is an auxiliary service under the Security Bureau, and its volunteer members come from different walks of life. Year-round recruitment is available to those who are interested to provide urgent medical service to the public in their spare time.

     The AMS announced today (July 10) that to further enhance efficiency in recruiting volunteer members, starting from July, the AMS would arrange walk-in recruitment and interview on the third Saturday of each month. The simplified recruitment process can save the step of appointment for interview. The recruitment interview schedule and venue will be uploaded to the AMS's website. Medical examination will be arranged soon for those who have passed the interview to speed up the entire recruitment process. Among other things, the Occupational Task and Physical Fitness Test will be conducted during the recruit induction training so that applicants could better prepare for the test. The requirement of the Occupational Task and Physical Fitness Test is already uploaded to the AMS's website for applicants' information and reference.
