FS to visit Shanghai tomorrow

The Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, will depart for a visit to Shanghai tomorrow morning (July 5). During the visit, he will meet with leaders of Shanghai and top management of the New Development Bank. He will also attend and deliver a keynote speech at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2023, as well as addressing the Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference Satellite Conference-A New Chapter of Hong Kong-Shanghai Collaboration.

     During his visit in Shanghai, Mr Chan will attend a series of events, which include speaking at a luncheon jointly organised by Invest Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai and the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, to promote Hong Kong's financial and high value-added services to Shanghai's commercial and industrial sectors and enterprises; and delivering a speech at Fudan University to update the academic staff and students on Hong Kong's latest situation and development opportunities.

     Mr Chan will also visit a number of technology and pharmaceutical companies, and meet with Hong Kong people and enterprises in Shanghai.

       Mr Chan will return to Hong Kong on July 8. During his absence, the Deputy Financial Secretary, Mr Michael Wong, will be the Acting Financial Secretary.
