11 persons sentenced for violating anti-epidemic regulations

     The Department of Health (DH) today (May 18) announced that a total of 11 persons were sentenced by the Magistrates' Courts in the past week (May 11 to 17) for violating the Prevention and Control of Disease Regulation (Cap. 599A).

     The 11 cases involved 10 men and one woman aged between 33 and 73. They were sentenced to 80 hours of community service order or a fine of up to $8,000 by the Magistrates' Courts.

     The DH will continue its actions against those who have breached the relevant regulations earlier.
