Family Council to launch "5.14 Free Tram Ride Day for the International Day of Families" (with photo)

In celebration of the International Day of Families, the Family Council will launch the "5.14 Free Tram Ride Day for the International Day of Families" on Sunday (May 14). Members of the public can enjoy free rides on all tram routes that day and explore Hong Kong Island with their family members.
Family is the cornerstone of society. The Family Council has all along been organising diversified activities to promote a culture of loving families in the community. The Family Council wishes to take this opportunity to offer a free parent-child activity for members of the public to spend a nice weekend together. The Family Council will also introduce The But's Family tram which is decorated with characters from The But's Family in childlike and vivid paintings. The tram will tour Hong Kong Island to deliver the message of "marital happiness and harmony", meaning protecting and caring for the family.
The United Nations proclaimed May 15 of every year as the International Day of Families to promote awareness of issues relating to families in the international community.
