Person collapsed case in Tin Sum reclassified as manslaughter and possession of dangerous drugs

     Police today (May 7) reclassified a person collapsed case happened in Tin Sum as manslaughter and possession of dangerous drugs.
 
     At around 0.40am today, Police received a report that a man collapsed inside a carpark on Jat Min Chuen Street. Police officers sped to the scene and found the 69-year-old man lying on the ground. He was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 1.07am on the same day.

     District Crime Squad of Shatin District took over the case and arrested a 29-year-old man in suspected connection with the case at scene on the same day. A small quantity of suspected drugs was seized from his private car. He was arrested for manslaughter and possession of dangerous drugs.
 
     Initial investigation revealed that the deceased had a dispute with the 29-year-old man and was suspected to have been assaulted by hands.
 
     Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.            

     Active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Shatin District is underway. Anyone who witnessed the case or has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 3661 2758.
