Transcript of remarks by S for S at media session in Beijing
************************************************************
Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Security, Mr Tang Ping-keung, at a media session in Beijing this afternoon (April 26):

Reporter: Earlier today, former chairperson of the Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions, Joe Wong, is understood to have retreated his application for a rally on May 1. Can you provide more details as to whether Wong was called in for investigations this morning? And whether he was warned against organising a rally on the ground of national security concerns?

Secretary for Security: First of all, for the reasons of the withdrawal, I think probably you have to ask the individual organiser, but I think if someone is unable to ensure the safety of any public order events or to ensure the orderly running of the events, it is a responsible act to withdraw the application. And I understand that the Police will provide further information about this incident later.

(Please also refer to the Chinese portion of the transcript.)
