Fatal traffic accident in Western District

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident happened in Western District today (April 25), in which a 29-year-old man died.

     At 8.44am, a motorcycle driven by the 29-year-old man was travelling along Western Harbour Crossing towards Central direction. Upon approaching near lamp post WHC3109, it reportedly lost control and rammed into a coach driven by a 31-year-old man. Then the coach reportedly rolled over the 29-year-old man.

     Sustaining serious head injury, the man was certified dead at scene.

     The coach driver was arrested for failing to stop after an accident and failing to report after an accident. He is being detained for further enquiries.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island is underway.
