Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui last night (April 21) in which a 62-year-old non-ethnic Chinese man died.

     At 8.27pm, a private car driven by the 62-year-old man was travelling along Sha Tau Kok Road - Lung Yeuk Tau towards Sheung Shui. When approaching the junction with Sui Wan Road, the private car reportedly lost control and hit seven railings and some water barriers, then rammed into a flower bed and two traffic signs.

     Sustaining no superficial injury, the man was rushed to North District Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 9.39pm.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
