Appointments to Lump Sum Grant Independent Complaints Handling Committee

     The Government today (April 21) announced the reappointment of the incumbent Chairman, the incumbent Vice-chairman and four incumbent members, as well as the appointment of two new members, Miss Yanmi Leung Ho-yan and Dr Jimmy Wong Chi-ho, to the Lump Sum Grant Independent Complaints Handling Committee (ICHC). All of the appointments will take effect from April 22, 2023, for a term of two years.

     The Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Chris Sun, welcomed the appointments and also thanked the two outgoing members, Dr Elsie Hui and Miss Alexis Pang Tsz-ming, for their contributions to ICHC in the past.

     The ICHC handles Lump Sum Grant-related complaints that cannot be dealt with satisfactorily by subvented non-governmental organisations. It also relays decisions and recommendations to the Social Welfare Department for appropriate follow-up action to enhance the Lump Sum Grant Subvention System.
