Fatal traffic accident in Sai Kung

At 7.27 pm, a public light bus driven by a 65-year-old man was travelling along Hiram's Highway towards Sai Kung. When approaching near 380 Hiram’s Highway, it reportedly knocked down the 58-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining multiple injuries, the woman was rushed to Tseung Kwan O Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 8.59pm.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is underway.
