Government announces reappointment of HKTDC Chairman

The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Algernon Yau, said, "Under Dr Lam's leadership, the HKTDC has successfully assisted Hong Kong companies to further explore the vast business opportunities in the Mainland and overseas brought about by the nation's dual circulation strategy, especially the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and emerging markets under the Belt and Road Initiative.
"In addition, the HKTDC has enhanced its digital offerings and developed a virtual platform to support the holding of events in a hybrid format in the new normal amid the pandemic. It has also provided enormous support and training for small and medium enterprises to adapt to the challenges of digital transformation. I am confident that under Dr Lam's chairmanship, the HKTDC will continue to help enterprises promote and expand their businesses in various aspects."
Meanwhile, Ms Ronna Chao Wei-ting has been re-appointed as a member of the HKTDC for two years with effect from May 1, 2023.
