Government announces appointment to COSH

     The Government announced today (March 31) the appointment of Mr Terence Lau Chun-kai as a new member of the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health (COSH) through the Member Self-recommendation Scheme for Youth. The appointment will be effective from April 1, 2023, for a term of 18 months. 

     Mr Lau is a registered social worker and is a Business Sustainability Director of a company, and participates actively in different community and public services.

     The COSH is a statutory body established in 1987 to advise the Government on matters related to smoking and health. It is also tasked to advance public education concerning the effects of smoking on the community and individuals, as well as to engage in smoking-related research. 

     The full membership of the COSH with effect from April 1, 2023, is as follows:
