Transcript of remarks by SCST at media session
**********************************************

â€‹Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for the Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr Kevin Yeung, at a media session after attending the Legislative Council meeting this morning (March 27):

Reporter: Also a follow-up on the punishment. Any upcoming punishment is expected from that? The second question is about the 100% loan scheme. Just now in the meeting, there's a lot of lawmakers commenting on extending the period. What's your thought on that?

Secretary for the Culture, Sports and Tourism: On the case we are still waiting for the report from the SF&OC. Once we received the report, we will have a look and we will study in details. And then we will discuss with SF&OC and will consider the follow-up action. This is a very serious matter and so we will take it very seriously. If we are of the view that someone has not followed the guidelines or has not done what they should have done, we will consider necessary penalty action.

Regarding the 100% loan scheme, it’s true that some of the LegCo members at the meeting requested that the application period should be flexible taking into account the actual situation of the sector. We got their views and will seriously consider that. And as I said at the meeting, we still need to discuss with the Transport and Logistics Bureau as they also have a similar scheme to support the cross-border transport sector as well. So we will discuss with them. Thank you.
