FS to visit Malaysia and Singapore

     The Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, will depart for a visit to Malaysia and Singapore on March 26 (Sunday). The visit seeks to forge closer financial and commercial ties between Hong Kong and the two countries, as well as promote Hong Kong's latest economic and financial developments, for telling Hong Kong's advantages and exploring more business opportunities.
 
     Mr Chan will visit Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from March 26 to 28. He will call on senior government officials and business leaders to introduce to them the vast business opportunities offered by Hong Kong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. While in Kuala Lumpur, Mr Chan will also visit a number of enterprises to gather updated information on the developments of the relevant areas. Mr Chan will also give a keynote speech at a talk at the University of Malaya.
 
     Mr Chan will depart for Singapore on the evening of March 28. During his stay in Singapore from March 28 to 30, he will call on senior government officials and business leaders, and meet with representatives of enterprises.
 
     While in Singapore, Mr Chan will take part in a number of exchange sessions and seminars, including speaking at a talk at the National University of Singapore and giving a keynote address at a thematic conference organised by the South China Morning Post.
    
     Mr Chan will return to Hong Kong in the evening on March 30. During his absence, the Deputy Financial Secretary, Mr Michael Wong, will be the Acting Financial Secretary.
